Kittiwake

Kittiwake, number 4 on the site map, is a wonderful single-bedroom retreat with a lovely open-plan living and dining area, featuring picture windows with garden views.

The living area is light and airy, with natural materials, an armchair and sofa bed.  Maps, guidebooks, and games are available.  The TV is set up with Amazon Prime and Netflix and the adjacent dining snug comfortably seats at least four, creating a perfect space for meals, games, or relaxation while enjoying the view. There is high-speed WiFi.

The living area connects to a well-equipped kitchen with an oven, grill, ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, cafetière, hand blender, all necessary cookware and a selection of local teas and coffee. A window overlooks a bird-filled Devon wall and hedging.  The spacious double bedroom provides a tranquil sanctuary with soft French linen bedding and views of natural planting and a Devon hedge.  Kittiwake includes a lovely bathroom with a bath and shower over, featuring natural slate flooring.  High-quality towels, toilet rolls, kitchen paper, and eco-friendly cleaning products are provided.

 

Outside, on he private terrace, there is seating set amid lovely plants, ideal for a summer breakfast or evening relaxation

On-site there are two EV chargers and ample parking with easy accessibility. There is a guest utility room with two washing machines, two dryers, airers, irons, and ironing boards. The utility room also houses a well-stocked lending library with books, indoor games, puzzles, and outdoor games for field use.

 

Additionally, there's a light and airy art room with a basic stock of art materials available for guest use. During quieter months, it may be in use for art courses, so availability varies. Visit our art course page for details of our courses.
