Kingfisher

Kingfisher, the second on our site map, has picture windows offering beautiful views of Exmoor.  The living area is light and airy, furnished with beautiful natural materials, an armchair, and a sofa bed. There are maps, guidebooks, and games. The TV is tuned to Amazon and Netflix and there is super fast WiFi.

 

The dining snug, with soft cushions, comfortably seats at least four, providing a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with a view of Exmoor's changing skies.  The well-equipped kitchen opens from the living area, featuring an oven, grill, ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, cafetière, hand blender, and all necessary cookware. There is also a selection of local teas and coffee.

 

The spacious double bedroom is a tranquil sanctuary with high quality bedding and a view of  the bird-filled Devon hedge.  The bathroom has a walk-in shower and natural slate flooring. Towels, toilet rolls, and eco-friendly cleaning products are provided. 

 

Outside, a private terrace offers seating surrounded by lovely plants, perfect for enjoying a summer breakfast or just stargazing.

All of our cottages are designed with the environment in mind from the furnishings and consumables to solar panels providing most of  the energy. We are rewilding over 11 acres of fields with winding mown paths through and spaces to picnic or play. Eco credentials page.

 

For four-legged guests, there are fleece blankets, bowls, and complimentary eco-doggy bags.

 

On-site, a utility room offers washing machines, dryers, airers, irons, and ironing boards, along with a lending library and various games.
