The local North Devon coastal path

SEE & DO

Moor and Sea Holidays is set overlooking Exmoor near the southwest coast path, a five minute drive or a lovely walk from Lynton and Lynmouth.
Below there is an introduction to the local area, ideas of things to do, and a guide to North Devon's beautiful beaches.

Lynmouth harbour

Lynton and Lynmouth

Lynmouth is a lovely harbour town with a long stretch of shingle and rock beach connected to Lynton by the famous Victorian water-powered funicular railway. They are both fun to explore with a variety of local independent shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes and cosy pubs.

Lynton is also famous for the stunning landscape at Valley of Rocks.

Local beaches of Lee Bay and Wringcliff are wonderful around low tide for a swim.

Walking around this area is wonderfully varied from the woodland riverside walk towards Watersmeet to the beautiful coastal path and open expanses of moorland.

There is something to suit everyone.. world-class surfing to kayaking, swimming and rock pooling, enjoying a blustery walk or simply soaking up the sun listening to the waves.
